Islandora is an open-source software framework designed to help institutions and organizations and their audiences collaboratively manage, and discover digital assets using a best-practices framework.  Islandora was originally developed by the University of Prince Edward Island's Robertson Library, but is now implemented and contributed to by an ever-growing international community.

Phasing Out PHP 5.3.3

Over the past few releases we have experienced an increased number of issues with Travis-CI and our PHP 5.3.3 builds. Currently, Travis-CI is failing on builds with PHP 5.3.3 and this is preventing community contributions from getting merged.  Due to limited resources and dwindling interest within the community for maintaining such long term compatibility, the Technical Advisory Group has decided that PHP 5.3.3 will be moved to “allowed failure” status.
